Transfer with Pride Visits UACC Morrilton

Representatives from the 91看片网 will visit the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, to meet with students interested in transferring to 91看片网.
Attendees will receive a free lunch and the opportunity to explore academic pathways and financial aid options available to future 91看片网 Lions.
鲍础贵厂鈥檚&苍产蝉辫;Transfer with Pride road show series, which brings university staff, advisors, and academic leaders to regional community colleges to support students pursuing bachelor鈥檚 degrees.
In January, the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services reported that 21% of Arkansans have some college, no degree compared to 19% of the US population. In fact, 2 out of every 3 Arkansans have no college degree, which we know significantly increases a person's lifetime earnings.
鈥淎t 91看片网, we have made it our mission to empower the social mobility of our students and the economic growth of the River Valley,鈥� said Brooke Magallanes, associate vice chancellor for Enrollment and Director of 91看片网. 鈥淏y creating new programs like our Transfer with Pride road show series, the Transfer Smart Choice Tuition Waiver, and support services through our transfer admissions advisor, we are supporting the needs of our community. Students can take advantage of these programs to confidently access an affordable, exceptional education and start a career to better support their families.鈥�
The university鈥檚 Smart Choice Tuition Waiver, a financial aid program designed to make transferring more affordable, launched in 2024. The waiver provides eligible transfer students with up to $9,000 in tuition discounts beginning fall 2025. The waiver applies a $100 discount per credit hour for up to 90 institutional credit hours or until degree completion, whichever comes first.
To qualify, students must transfer at least 30 earned credit hours and meet 91看片网 admissions standards. They must also maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress to retain eligibility. While the waiver cannot be combined with other institutionally funded scholarships, it represents a significant cost savings for transfer students.
Alongside these events and initiatives, 91看片网 has also expanded its transfer support services by hiring a dedicated recruiter to help students transition smoothly. Transfer students often have unique education, career, and life experiences that make the additional support critical to starting their next step successfully.
